Here is how West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United will line-up for this afternoon’s match:
West Bromwich Albion starting XI: Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Yacob, Mulumbo, Amilfitano, Gera, Brunt, Anichebe
Subs: Myhill, Morrison, Thievy, Vydra, Sessegnon, Dawson, Berahino
Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Smalling, Evra, Carrick, Fellaini, Mata, Rooney, Januazaj, van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Vidic, Giggs, Young, Fletcher, Kagawa, Welbeck
Manchester United have a chance to climb back above Everton into sixth place this afternoon, provided they beat West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
With a place in the top four looking all but impossible now, David Moyes will simply want his side to win all of their remaining games and see where that leaves them.
West Brom on the other hand just need a win, any win, to ease the pressure on manager Pepe Mel. The Baggies are just a single point outside the relegation zone, with the team directly below them – Sunderland – having a game in hand (that will quickly become two after this weekend’s action).
The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 5-5 draw – a fitting if unexpected way for Sir Alex Ferguson to end his tenure at United.
The hosts will be hoping to do the double over the reigning champions, although United have not lost at West Brom since 1984.
What do you think the result will be today?
