Tottenham host Newcastle in the Premier League this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bounce back from their shock weekend defeat to West Bromwich Albion as they host Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium tonight.

Spurs have been patchy of late and now find their top four place in danger, with boss Mauricio Pochettino no doubt looking for a big response this evening.

Hugo Lloris keeps his place in goal, with a back four of Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies ahead of him.

Moussa Sissoko comes into central midfield against his former club, and will be joined by Victor Wanyama, with neither Eric Dier nor Mousa Dembele in the squad.

Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli all start, and will support lone striker Harry Kane, who is still searching for top form since his return from injury.

That means that Toby Alderweireld is only on the bench again, alongside Michel Vorm, Danny Rose, Juan Foyth, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Fernando Llorente.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are also looking for a response having lost 2-1 at Watford on Saturday afternoon, with their season in danger of petering out after a fine recent run.

Martin Dubravka starts in goal as usual, and is protected by a familiar back four of DeAndre Yedlin, Florian Lejeune, Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett.

Mohamed Diame and Jonjo Shelvey again start in midfield, with Matt Ritchie and Kenedy providing the width in a four-man midfield.

Ayoze Perez has been in fine form and starts in attacking midfield, behind lone striker Dwight Gayle amid new links to Stoke City earlier today.

Mikel Merino is again only named on the bench, and is joined by Karl Darlow, Isaac Hayden, Massadio Haidara, Javier Manquillo, Jacob Murphy and Joselu.
