Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to get back to winning ways against Manchester United this weekend, after defeat to West Ham United all but knocked their hopes of a first Premier League title. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have kept the title race alive this season, but now it looks like Chelsea will see a title win this weekend.
Before defeat to the Hammers, Spurs went on a tremendous nine game winning streak, and will be keen to get back to their good form against Jose Mourinho’s side. Spurs will be hoping their excellent home form will give them the edge here.
Manchester United will also be keen to get back to winning ways after a disappointing defeat to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal last weekend. The defeat marked the first time Wenger has managed to beat a Mourinho side.
Much has been said over Mourinho’s apparent prioritisation of the Europa League recently, with players being rested against Arsenal. United clearly have one eye on winning the trophy in order to secure Champions League football next season. Spurs may well look to take advantage of a potentially weakened United side.
