Tottenham Hotspur take on Burnley in the Premier League at White Hart Lane this afternoon…

Spurs head into the game having beaten Hull City 3-0 in midweek, bouncing back from their 1-0 defeat at Manchester United last weekend, and will be looking for a similar success this afternoon.

Today, Mauricio Pochettino is without defender Toby Alderweireld, as the Belgian is surprisingly out of the squad altogether, which may be a concern for Spurs fans given that he’s only just returned from injury.

Eric Dier will slot in to play at centre back, whilst Moussa Sissoko is dropped despite impressing against Hull City in midweek, with Harry Winks brought into the midfield.

Key players like Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all start, along with the likes of Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Mousa Dembele.

Sissoko is named on the bench along with Heung-min Son, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Ben Davies, whilst ex-Burnley defender Kieran Trippier is named as a substitute against his former club.

Meanwhile, visitors Burnley lost 1-0 at West Ham United on Wednesday evening, meaning they’ve notched just one point and one goal away from home this season.

The Clarets are struggling on the road, and a trip to White Hart Lane – where Spurs are unbeaten this season – seems like one of the worst possible games for Sean Dyche’s side.

Dyche has gone with Ashley Barnes and Andre Gray as his strike partnership today as Sam Vokes is only on the bench, with George Boyd and Scott Arfield supporting them from wide areas.

Jeff Hendrick and former Spurs youngster Dean Marney continue in midfield, meaning Belgian ace Steven Defour has to settle for a place on the bench.

Matthew Lowton, Michael Keane, Ben Mee and Stephen Ward all start in defence, whilst there is a place on the bench for ex-Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson, alongside the likes of Tendayi Darikwa, Michael Kightly and Liverpool loanee Jon Flanagan.
