Tottenham Hotspur take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this evening, but before that the club’s young guns have a match of their own in the UEFA Youth League against the same opponents.
Tottenham have some of the most exciting young players in the country on their books and a few of them are on show today, including the jewel in their academy crown Marcus Edwards.

The 18-year-old remained in North London rather than heading out on loan this summer in the hope of breaking into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team, and a solid performance today will do his chances no harm at all.
Edwards is not the only exciting talent on show, with Tashan Oakley-Boothe also given a chance to build on his impressive outings during pre-season.

Striker Kazaiah Sterling is also in action, as is winger Keanan Bennetts and this line-up should give Dortmund plenty to think about over the next 90 minutes.
This competition is a great learning curve for young players across the continent and Tottenham could benefit in the years to come if their current crop of teenagers make a name for themselves.
