Tottenham Hotspur play host to Newcastle United in the Premier League tomorrow night.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Newcastle United at Wembley tomorrow night, and provided an injury update on some of his key players, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs currently sit in fourth spot in the Premier League table, and need to win both of their remaining two games in order to guarantee a top four finish.

Pochettino’s men are currently in the midst of a worrying run of form, having taken just four points from their last four Premier League outings, and there is a genuine concern that they could miss out on the Champions League places, what with Chelsea’s resurgence in form.
The Argentine spoke to reporters today, and confirmed that Eric Dier will miss tomorrow’s clash with the Magpies through illness, as quoted by Football.London:

“Last night he started with vomiting and fever and now it’s normal that he needs a minimum of 48 hours to recover to be available again for training. We hope he will be available for the weekend. I hope yes and I believe he can be available. At the moment only we need to help him. The doctors are helping him. Tomorrow we’ll see how he is and after tomorrow we see if he starts the training again.”
The Lilywhites will also be without Serge Aurier and Mousa Dembele, according to Sky Sports News, so Pochettino has no choice but to shuffle his pack for tomorrow night’s vitally important game.
Tottenham do have plenty of options who can fill in for the aforementioned names, however, and will still enter the game against Rafa Benitez’s men as hot favourites.
