Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action today as they take on Newcastle United in North London.

Antonio Conte’s men have come in for real criticism since their midweek defeat at Manchester United.

A response is needed today and Conte has gone with Hugo Lloris in goal as usual.

Cristian Romero is missing though with Alasdair Gold reporting that he and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are out with ‘minor injuries’.

Davinson Sanchez comes in for Romero, joining Eric Dier and Clement Lenglet at the back.

Emerson Royal and Ryan Sessegnon are the wing backs for Tottenham today whilst Oliver Skipp comes in for Hojbjerg in midfield.

Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur continue in the engine room with Son Heung-min and Harry Kane up top.

Lucas Moura makes the Tottenham bench today, joining Fraser Forster, Japhet Tanganga, Ben Davies, Matt Doherty, Djed Spence, Harvey White, Ivan Perisic and Bryan Gil.

Newcastle go with Nick Pope in goal as they look to continue their great defensive record this season.

Former Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier starts at right back with Fabian Schar, Sven Botman and Dan Burn across the defence.

Bruno Guimaraes joins Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock in midfield, meaning Joelinton will play out on the left flank today.

In-form Miguel Almiron starts on the right with Callum Wilson up top.

That means Jacob Murphy drops out of the team, joining Loris Karius, Jamaal Lascelles, Jonjo Shelvey, Jamal Lewis, Matt Targett, Javi Manquillo, Chris Wood and Ryan Fraser on the bench.
