Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to kick off their 2019-20 Premier League campaign on a positive note when they take on Aston Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Spurs finished in the top four of the Premier League table last season and also reached the final of the Champions League.

Having made a few signings in the summer transfer window, the North London outfit will be determined to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the league title this season.

Meanwhile, Villa won promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season via the playoffs.

This is how Tottenham and Villa will line up for their Premier League game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening:

Meanwhile, former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will finish third in the league table this season.

Crouch has also stated that star striker and England international Harry Kane will be a key player for the North London outfit.

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has also backed Spurs to end up third in the standings.

Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “They have spent a lot of money and the arrivial of Tanguy Ndombele is exciting — he will add drive to the midfield. Everyone knows about Harry Kane, who will be desperate to win the Golden Boot again, but I want to stress the importance of Son Heung-min.

“He is a top player, one of the best forwards in Europe and I think he will be even better again this season. Dele Alli will also be fired up. I love watching Tottenham play and think they will go from strength to strength.”

Crouch added while mentioning Kane as the key player: “Harry Kane – so much more to his game than goals but few better strikers around. If he stays fit, expect Spurs to secure a fifth consecutive top four finish — and Kane to win the Golden Boot.”

Le Tissier told Sky Sports: “Tottenham will be third. Tanguy Ndombele should make a big difference to them but I don’t see them challenging the top two.”
