Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to pick up all three points this afternoon when they take on Stoke City at home in the Premier League.

Spurs will head into the match against Stoke at the Wembley Stadium in London on the back of a 3-0 victory over Apoel Nicosia at home in the Champions League.

The North London outfit, though, failed to win last weekend, playing out a 1-1 draw with Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Danny Murphy has suggested why Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli is not at his best this season.

Alli is one of the best young midfielders in the world, but the England international has struggled this season.

Former Tottenham midfielder Murphy has a theory why Alli is struggling – due to the absence of fellow midfielders Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama.

“One of the reasons Dele Alli is not reaching the same levels this season is that he has not had both Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama behind him in midfield,” Murphy wrote in The London Evening Standard.

“That pairing gave him the freedom to do his thing and it has been a massive miss for both Tottenham and Alli.”
