Tottenham Hotspur are back in action this evening as they take on Newport County in a Fourth Round FA Cup replay at Wembley Stadium, having drawn the first game 1-1 at Rodney Parade.
Mauricio Pochettino’s were expected to win that game but fell short of the mark, and will certainly be expected to come through tonight’s game, even after a dramatic 2-2 draw at Liverpool on Sunday evening.
Pochettino has decided to rotate his squad tonight, as Harry Kane is left on the bench in order to hand Fernando Llorente a start in attack, as is often the case in cup competitions.
Michel Vorm keeps his place in goal with Hugo Lloris still out, whilst Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose return to the defence after recent injuries, joining Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth in the back four.
Victor Wanyama and Harry Winks start in central midfield, with Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Son Heung-min called upon to support Llorente in the final third.
Kane isn’t the only star on the bench, as Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli are named as substitutes, alongside Paulo Gazzaniga, Davinson Sanchez, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker-Peters.
