Can Sunderland upset Tottenham?
Sunderland manager David Moyes
Sunderland are hoping to pull off a surprise win over Tottenham Hotspur this evening, with transfer deadline day taking a backseat.
Spurs are in third place and looking to get back to winning ways after a 2-2 draw with Manchester City in their last match.
That was a game Spurs were fortunate to avoid losing, and they followed it up with an underwhelming 4-3 win over League Two Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup.
The good news was Spurs have been grinding out results anyway, with their problems miniscule compared to struggling Sunderland.
The Black Cats are battling to avoid relegation to the Championship, and currently sit bottom of the table with only 15 points.
Manager David Moyes is up against it, and it would be a shock if they manage a win against Spurs this evening.
