Sunderland host Manchester United in the Premier League this afternoon.

Sunderland head into the game having lost five of their last six games, and were beaten twice in a row over the last week with losses at Watford and Leicester City.

The Black Cats are now looking like a club destined for relegation, and they must pick up a win today to stand any realistic chance of staying in the Premier League.

Manager David Moyes will be hoping to beat his former club this afternoon, and he has gone with a back four of Billy Jones, Lamine Kone, Jason Denayer and Bryan Oviedo in front of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Lee Cattermole, Didier Ndong and Jack Rodwell start in midfield, with Sebastian Larsson, Jermain Defoe and Victor Anichebe in attack.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson is on the bench, alongside Wahbi Khazri, Fabio Borini, Papy Djilobodji, Javier Manquillo, Steven Pienaar and backup goalkeeper Vito Mannone.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are desperate for a win having drawn twice in the last week, with West Bromwich Albion and Everton.

Jose Mourinho’s men have slipped off the pace in the race for the top four, and must claim a victory today if they are to challenge for a Champions League place.

Sergio Romero is handed a shock start in goal with David De Gea out of action, whilst Luke Shaw also starts in a defence containing Matteo Darmian, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo.

Marouane Fellaini captains the side against the manager who signed him twice, with Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba also in midfield.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads the line, with Jesse Lingard and Henrikh Mkhitaryan out wide, as Anthony Martial has to make do with a place on the bench.

Martial is joined by young goalkeeper Joel Pereira, as well as Michael Carrick, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Daley Blind, Marcus Rashford and Axel Tuanzebe.
