Jack Ross’s Sunderland will face Rochdale at the Stadium of Light in League One this afternoon.

Sunderland will be looking to return to winning ways in League One this afternoon when they take on Rochdale at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats will head into the match against Rochdale on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Burton Albion away from home in the league.
Jack Ross’s side are fourth in the League One table at the moment with 15 points from eight matches.
Sunderland are five points behind leaders Portsmouth, and they do need to start winning in order to climb up the league table.
This is how Sunderland will line up against Rochdale at the Stadium of Light in League One this afternoon:

Meanwhile, Sunderland manager Jack Ross has suggested that he does not plan to sign a striker in the wake of the injury suffered by Charlie Wyke.
According to The Chronicle, the 25-year-old striker could be out of action until the New Year due to knee ligament damage he suffered against Burton in League One last weekend.
Ross told The Chronicle when asked about signing a free agent: “It would be nice to, but I don’t think I will be able to.
“I said towards the end of the window that I wasn’t in a position to bring anyone else in and I haven’t heard anything to suggest that anything has changed.”
