Newcastle head into tonight’s clash at St James’ Park on the back of a poor run of form that has seen them win just once in their last seven league outings.

The Magpies currently sit in 15th position in the Premier League table, having taken just 18 points from their opening 20 games this season.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are in the midst of somewhat of a resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjær, and they have won their last three Premier League games.

The Red Devils can close the gap on fifth placed Arsenal back to three points with a win against Newcastle tonight, and considering the way that they have been playing of late, it would be no surprise to see them do just that.

The Toon will probably try and contain Manchester United, and play for a draw, so much will depend on whether the visitors have enough creativity and guile to break the hosts down.

The game kicks off tonight at 20:00 and can be seen exclusively live on Sky Sports.
