Celtic head into tonight’s game away at Motherwell on the back of a fine recent run of form that has seen them win seven of their last eight games in all competitions.

They have, however, been overtaken in the table by Rangers, and Brendan Rodgers’ men will be desperate to regain top spot as soon as possible.

Motherwell, meanwhile, are on a mixed run of form, loosing three and winning three of their last six outings, and they currently sit in ninth position in the table.

Steve Robinson’s men have not beaten Celtic in 11 attempts, and they have not emerged victorious against the Hoops at Fir Park since April 2013.

Rodgers’ men will be buzzing having won their first trophy of the season on Sunday, and Motherwell will undoubtedly have their work cut-out if they are to achieve a positive result.

The game kicks off tonight at 19:45, and both sides will be desperate for all three points, but for very different reasons.
