Confirmed Spurs v West Ham lineups: Pochettino springs major midfield surprise, Sakho starts

Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham United in the Premier League this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to end their winless run this evening as they host West Ham United at White Hart Lane.

Spurs remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League so far this season, but it’s seven games without a win in all competitions, with Mauricio Pochettino desperately looking for a change in fortune.

Tonight, the Argentinian has sprung a major surprise, as Harry Winks starts in midfield alongside Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele and Christian Eriksen, in what could be a diamond midfield.

Vincent Janssen and Harry Kane both start up front, with the likes of Heung-min Son, Dele Alli and Josh Onomah all on the bench, whilst Eric Dier continues in defence in Toby Alderweireld’s absence.

Meanwhile, West Ham United haven’t been in great form themselves; the 1-1 home draw with Stoke City before the international break left the just one point outside the relegation zone before today’s games.

The Hammers need something to really kickstart their season, and manager Slaven Bilic has called up on returning striker Diafra Sakho to lead the line this evening.

Goalkeeper Adrian has been dropped to the bench in favour of Darren Randolph, whilst Bilic has gone with Dimitri Payet, Andre Ayew and Manuel Lanzini to support Sakho, with Michail Antonio potentially at right wing back again.

Adrian is joined on the bench by the likes of Simone Zaza, Edimilson Fernandes, Ashley Fletcher and Sofiane Feghouli.
