Tottenham Hotspur host Sunderland in the Premier League this afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bounce back from Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Monaco as they face Sunderland in the Premier League this afternoon.

Spurs were poor at Wembley as Monaco shocked them, but they’re now back at White Hart Lane, and looking for a result similar to last weekend’s win over Stoke City.

The Spurs bench features the likes of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Vincent Janssen as Pochettino chases a win over a struggling Sunderland side.

The Black Cats were hammered 3-0 by Everton on Monday evening, meaning David Moyes has picked up just one point from the first four games of the new season.

Sunderland need results and fast as they face up to another relegation battle, and few are backing them to pick up a positive result at White Hart Lane this evening.

Deadline day signing Didier Ndong makes his first start for Sunderland having arrived from Lorient, whilst ex-Spurs striker Jermain Defoe faces his former club again.

Wahbi Khazri, Lynden Gooch and Jason Denayer are among Moyes’ substitutes this evening, with Sunderland searching for their first Premier League win of the season.
