Here is how Southampton and Arsenal will line up for this evening’s game.
Southampton will be looking to end a five-game winless run this evening as they host title challengers Arsenal at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The Saints have lost four of their last five games, drawing the other in a dismal run of form for Ronald Koeman’s side.
The biggest problem for Southampton has been scoring goals, with just two in that five-game spell – but main striker Graziano Pelle misses out tonight through injury.
Shane Long comes in up front, whilst right back Cedric Soares is also absent, meaning Cuco Martina starts in defence.
Maarten Stekelenburg starts in goal in place of Paulo Gazzaniga, whilst the likes of Oriol Romeu, Gaston Ramirez and Dusan Tadic are available on the bench.
Meanwhile, opponents Arsenal are coming off the back of an impressive 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday night, and manager Arsene Wenger has kept the same 18 from that victory.
That means that the usual back four of Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal continue, whilst Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini will start in midfield.
The in-form Mesut Ozil will be relied upon for creativity this evening, with Olivier Giroud hoping to build on his goal against Manchester City.
Youngsters Alex Iwobi and Jeff Reine-Adelaide are on the bench again, along with former Southampton youngster Calum Chambers.
