Southampton welcome Norwich City to St Mary’s this afternoon with Ronald Koeman’s side desperate for their first victory of the season.
The Saints are currently 19th in the Premier League with just two points from a possible nine, while Norwich are two points and nine places better off, showing how quickly a side can shoot up the table with a victory at this stage of the season.
Southampton have an impressive record against the Canaries, losing just one of their last nine meetings in all competitions, but Koeman’s side are enduring a poor run of form and Norwich will know this is a good time to play them.
Nathan Redmond is the danger man for Norwich and Southampton will have to work hard to keep him quiet, but the hosts have plenty of attacking talent themselves which should make for a very interesting encounter to kick-off the day’s top-flight action.
