Sheffield United embark on a new Chris Wilder era this evening as they host Liverpool at Bramall Lane.

Paul Heckingbottom has gone and Wilder is back in the hot seat, nearly three years since being given his marching orders.

Wilder’s first game back is a tough one as the struggling Blades host Liverpool tonight.

Wes Foderingham starts in goal but it’s unclear whether Wilder will go with his usual 3-5-2 approach or switch thing sup.

We will assume it’s the former, meaning it would be a back three of Anel Ahmedhodzic, Auston Trusty and Jack Robinson.

Jayden Boyle and Andre Brooks would be the wing backs with Vinicius Souza and Gustavo Hamer in midfield.

James McAtee starts, supporting the front two of Cameron Archer and William Osula.

Former Liverpool talent Yasser Larouci is on the bench, joining Adam Davies, Max Lowe, John Fleck, Oliver Norwood, Luke Thomas, Anis Ben Slimane, Benie Traore and Femi Seriki.

Liverpool go with Caoimhin Kelleher in goal with Alisson still out of action through injury.

Ibrahima Konate partners Virgil van Dijk at the back but Joe Gomez comes into the side, replacing Kostas Tsimikas at left back.

Trent Alexander-Arnold starts on the right side with Wataru Endo featuring in holding midfield after his goal against Fulham.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai continue in midfield, supporting the front three of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo.

Darwin Nunez is only on the bench tonight, joining Adrian San Miguel, Marcelo Pitaluga, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Tsimikas, Ryan Gravenberch, Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley.
