Celtic take on Ross County in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon…
The Bhoys head into the game having already won the title for a sixth season in a row, and Brendan Rodgers will be looking to keep up his remarkable unbeaten domestic campaign.
Today, Rodgers has named an intriguing side, in which the formation isn’t exactly clear given that there is no recognised right back in the side.
Defender Kieran Tierney, Jozo Simunovic and Erik Sviatchenko start in what appears to be a back three, with six midfielders named in James Forrest, Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong, Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair, though one of those could drop in to play right back in a four-man defence.
Top goalscorer Moussa Dembele leads the line again, with Leigh Griffiths having to settle for another place on the substitute’s bench, as has been the case for most of the season.
Logan Bailly is again on the bench due to Dorus De Vries’ injury, with Kolo Toure, Emilio Izaguirre, Cristian Gamboa, Eboue Kouassi and Patrick Roberts also named on the bench today.
Meanwhile, Ross County have won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six games, with Jim McIntyre’s men unable to find consistency of late.
The Dingwall club still need points to avoid the promotion/relegation play-off at the end of the season, but face a tough task this afternoon.
The likes of Andrew Davies, Tim Chow and Jim O’Brien all start, as does leading striker Liam Boyce, with Alex Schalk only on the bench.
Schalk is joined by players such as Milan Lalkovic, Craig Curran and Jonathan Franks, with McIntyre hoping to become the first manager of a Scottish side to beat Rodgers’ Celtic this season.
