Old Firm rivals Rangers and Celtic lock horns at Ibrox this afternoon…
Rangers head into today’s clash having dropped just two points in their last five games, as the midweek draw at St Johnstone ended a four-game winning run.
Having lost 5-1 to Celtic earlier this season, Rangers boss Mark Warburton will be desperate for revenge today, with some question marks still hanging over him.
Captain Lee Wallace again misses out through injury, meaning it will either be a back four of James Tavernier, Rob Kiernan, Clint Hill and Danny Wilson, or Warburton will switch to five at the back, with Andy Halliday dropping in to play at left wing back.
Jason Holt and Josh Windass both start, with Barrie McKay, Kenny Miller and Joe Garner being relied upon in attack, and the latter will be hoping to score against Celtic again having notched the consolation in the 5-1 defeat.
That means that Martyn Waghorn remains on the bench today, alongside the likes of Joe Dodoo, Michael O’Halloran and Harry Forrester.
Meanwhile, Celtic made it 14 league wins in a row in midweek with a 2-0 win over Ross County, with the Bhoys looking nailed-on to win the Scottish Premiership title.
Brendan Rodgers has dropped just two points this season, and many believe that a win at Ibrox today would all but seal a sixth title in a row for Celtic.
Today, Rodgers goes with a familiar back four of Mikael Lustig, Erik Sviatchenko, Jozo Simunovic and Emilio Izaguirre, with Kieran Tierney still out injured.
In-form Stuart Armstrong will play in midfield with Scott Brown and Callum McGregor, whilst Moussa Dembele is picked ahead of Leigh Griffiths in attack, and will be supported by Scott Sinclair and James Forrest.
Griffiths has to make do with a place on the bench, and will be joined by Dorus de Vries, Christian Gamboa, Kolo Toure, Nir Bitton, Patrick Roberts and Gary Mackay-Steven.
