Rangers take on Celtic at Hampden Park this afternoon.

Rangers and Celtic meet for the second time this season, as the Old Firm rivals lock horns in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals.

The Gers were hammered 5-1 by Celtic in their league encounter in September, and whilst Mark Warburton’s men have now won their last two league games, he needs a much improved display against Celtic.

Warburton has today chosen to start with Matt Gilks in goal ahead of Wes Foderingham, whilst Lee Hodson starts at right back, with James Tavernier surprisingly handed a role in a front three alongside Barrie McKay and Kenny Miller.

Clint Hill and Rob Kiernan start at centre back, with Danny Wilson not passed fit to play, and Philippe Senderos only on the bench.

Andy Halliday, Jason Holt and Josh Windass form a three-man midfield, with the likes of Joe Dodoo, Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn all left on the bench too.

Meanwhile, Celtic are looking to bounce back from their 2-0 midweek defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League, but defender Kolo Toure has paid the price for two errors, having been dropped to the bench today.

Jozo Simunovic comes into defence in his place, but the rest of the team is familiar as the likes of Erik Sviatchenko, Scott Brown, Nir Bitton, Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele all start.

Rodgers has named the likes of Cristian Gamboa, Leigh Griffiths and Dorus De Vries on the bench today, as well as Stuart Armstrong – who scored against Rangers last month – and Patrick Roberts.
