Rangers host Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon…

Rangers starting line-up: Foderingham, Hodson, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace; Halliday, Holt, Miller, McKay, Garner, O’Halloran.

Rangers substitutes: Gilks, Tavernier, Wilson, Forrester, Dodoo, Waghorn, Crooks

Aberdeen starting line-up: Lewis; Logan, Taylor, Considine, Reynolds; Jack, McLean; Shinnie, Maddison, Hayes; Stockley.

Aberdeen substitutes: Alexander, O’Connor, Pawlett, McGinn, Burns, Rooney, Storey.

Rangers head into the game having suffered a 2-0 defeat to Hearts in midweek, and the pressure has subsequently been cranked up on manager Mark Warburton.

Despite recent wins over Dundee and Partick Thistle – both of which came late in the day – Warburton is under huge pressure to get results, and losing against another rival for second place in Aberdeen could cost him.

Warburton has rung the changes from the midweek defeat to Hearts, as Lee Hodson comes in for James Tavernier at right back, whilst Clint Hill starts at centre back in place of Danny Wilson.

Barrie McKay appears to be joining Jason Holt and Andy Halliday in midfield unless Warburton springs a surprise change of system, with a front three of Kenny Miller, Joe Garner and Michael O’Halloran.

Tavernier and Wilson have dropped to the bench, and will be available as substitutes alongside Matt Gilks, Harry Forrester, Joe Dodoo, Martyn Waghorn and Matt Crooks.

Aberdeen are also gunning for second place and need a result given that league leaders Celtic played out a stunning 4-3 win over Motherwell this afternoon, and will be looking to do the double over Rangers having beaten them 2-1 earlier this season.

Derek McInnes has gone with a familiar side including key players like Shay Logan, Ryan Jack, Graeme Shinnie, Jonny Hayes and Norwich loanee James Maddison.

However, striker Adam Rooney has been left on the bench in favour of Jayden Stockley, and he’ll join ex-Rangers goalkeeper Neil Alexander, former Celtic winger Niall McGinn and Welsh winger Wes Burns amongst the substitutes.
