Rangers take on St Johnstone at Ibrox this afternoon.

Rangers starting line-up: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Katic, Flanagan; McCrorie, Arfield, Coulibaly; Candeias, Kent, Morelos.

Rangers substitutes: Foderingham, Worrall, Halliday, Dorrans, Ejaria, Middleton, Lafferty.

Rangers are back in league action this afternoon as they host St Johnstone at Ibrox, just days after an impressive 2-2 draw away at Villarreal in the Europa League.

The Gers earned huge praise for their display at El Madrigal, but are now back to the bread and butter of the Scottish Premiership as Steven Gerrard looks to build on last weekend’s 4-0 win over Dundee.

Gerrard has unsurprisingly gone with Allan McGregor in goal again, with the Scot the undoubted first-choice goalkeeper at Ibrox this season, usurping Wes Foderingham.

James Tavernier and Connor Goldson keep their places in defence, with Nikola Katic coming back in for loanee Joe Worrall, and full back Jon Flanagan replacing the injured Borna Barisic.

Ross McCrorie starts in holding midfield as Ryan Jack is still out injured, whilst Lassana Coulibaly and Scott Arfield featured in midfield yet again.

Daniel Candeias and Ryan Kent also keep their places out wide, supporting returning striker Alfredo Morelos, after the Colombian was suspended against Villarreal.

That means that Kyle Lafferty drops down to the bench, alongside Foderingham, Worrall, Andy Halliday, Graham Dorrans, Ovie Ejaria and Glenn Middleton.
