Rangers are back in league action this evening as they host St. Johnstone at Ibrox.

Rangers starting line-up: Foderingham; Hodson, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace; Halliday, Holt, Windass; O’Halloran, Garner, Forrester.

Rangers substitutes: Gilks, Tavernier, Crooks, Dodoo, Miller, Waghorn, McKay

Rangers return to Scottish Premiership action against St. Johnstone tonight, having lost 1-0 to Celtic in the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Manager Mark Warburton will be desperate to hit back with a win, and he’s rotated much of his team in a bid to give some fringe players an opportunity to shine.

Wes Foderingham returns in goal despite Matt Gilks’ superb performance against Celtic, whilst Lee Hodson keeps his place at right back, with James Tavernier dropped to the bench.

Rob Kiernan, Clint Hill and Lee Wallace form the rest of the defence, with Andy Halliday sitting in front of them in holding midfield.

Jason Holt and Josh Windass will push forward to support a front three of Harry Forrester, big-money summer signing Joe Garner, and winger Michael O’Halloran, who faces the team he left in January.

Gilks and Tavernier are on the bench, alongside Matt Crooks and four attackers in Joe Dodoo, Kenny Miller, Martyn Waghorn and Barrie McKay, giving Warburton plenty of options from the bench.
