Rangers take on RB Leipzig in a friendly this afternoon…

Rangers starting line-up: Foderingham, Kiernan, Hill, Wilson, Halliday, Holt, Toral, McKay, Tavernier, Windass, Miller.

Rangers substitutes: Gilks, Hyndman, Waghorn, Forrester, O’Halloran, Bates, Hodson.

Rangers are in friendly action this afternoon as they take on Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in Germany.

The Gers haven’t played since losing 2-1 at home to Celtic on New Year’s Eve, and their next competitive game isn’t until next weekend when they face Motherwell in the Scottish Cup.

Mark Warburton’s men subsequently play a friendly this afternoon, and they take on Bundesliga high-flyers RB Leipzig, who sit second in the table behind Bayern Munich in just their first season in the top flight.

Warburton has named a strong side to take on Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side with Wes Foderingham in goal as usual, though it’s unclear what formation Rangers are playing this afternoon.

Rob Kiernan, Clint Hill and Danny Wilson all start, meaning it could be three at the back with Andy Halliday and James Tavernier as wing backs, or Wilson can move over to left back with Tavernier on the right in a back four.

The big news is that Jon Toral starts having penned a loan deal from Arsenal until the end of the season, and he joins Jason Holt and Josh Windass in the side, along with Kenny Miller and Barrie McKay.

Fellow new signing Emerson Hyndman is only on the bench after joining on loan from Bournemouth, and he is named as a substitute along with Matt Gilks, Martyn Waghorn, Harry Forrester, Michael O’Halloran, David Bates and Lee Hodson this afternoon.
