Rangers return to European competition this evening, as they take on Progres Niederkorn of Luxembourg at Ibrox.
After a third-placed finish in the Scottish Premiership last term, Rangers have returned to Europe for the first time since their liquidation in 2012.
Manager Pedro Caixinha is charged with the task of avoiding a shock slip-up this evening, and he has named three of his eight summer signings in his starting line-up.
Fabio Cardoso starts in defence alongside James Tavernier, David Bates and Lee Wallace, with Wes Foderingham in goal, whilst another new signing starts in midfield in Ryan Jack.
Jack is joined in the engine room by Jason Holt and Niko Kranjcar, whilst fellow new addition Dalcio starts out wide in a front three alongside Kenny Miller and Martyn Waghorn.
That means that two more new signings – Daniel Candeias and Alfredo Morelos – are both named on the bench, whilst Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera aren’t involved at all.
Ben Alnwick, Myles Beerman, Ross McCrorie, Jordan Rossiter and Josh Windass make up the rest of the bench, with no place at all for winger Barrie McKay amid rumours over his future.
