The Gers head to Russia this evening having beaten St Mirren 2-0 in their last game, with their last Europa League game finishing in a 0-0 draw against Spartak at Ibrox.
Manager Steven Gerrard has seen his players turn in some below-par performances of late, and needs his squad to step up this evening, especially in the absence of injured winger Ryan Kent.
Veteran goalkeeper Allan McGregor starts in goal this evening as he keeps his place in the side, calming fears about a back injury that kept him on the bench for last week’s draw against Kilmarnock.
James Tavernier starts at right back, with Jon Flanagan on the left as Borna Barisic remains out through injury, whilst Nikola Katic comes back into defence alongside Connor Goldson.
Lassana Coulibaly will play as the holding midfielder in a role much more suited to his game, whilst Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria will be relied upon to bring some creativity ahead of the Malian.
With Kent out, teenager Glenn Middleton is given the nod out wide, with Daniel Candeias on the right and Alfredo Morelos spearheading the Rangers attack.
That means that Eros Grezda is only on the bench, alongside Wes Foderingham, Joe Worrall, Ryan Jack, Andy Halliday, Ross McCrorie and recent signing Gareth McAuley, who could make his Rangers debut.
