Rangers take on Aberdeen away from home this evening.

Rangers starting line-up: McGregor; Tavernier, Worrall, Goldson, Barisic; McCrorie, Jack, Arfield; Candeias, Kent, Morelos.

Rangers substitutes: Foderingham, Katic, Halliday, Coulibaly, Davis, Lafferty, Defoe.

Rangers are back in action this evening as they take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie, having picked up a bizarre win over St Mirren on Saturday, in a game which featured four Gers penalties.

Steven Gerrard knows that he will face a tougher task tonight against an Aberdeen side who sit just two points behind Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table.

Allan McGregor keeps his place in goal, with James Tavernier and Borna Barisic featuring at right and left back respectively, whilst injured defender Connor Goldson returns tonight alongside Joe Worrall.

Ross McCrorie sits in holding midfield, with Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield picked as the midfielders to play in front of him as the trio look to replicate their superb showing against Celtic in December.

Daniel Candeias returns to the side down the right flank, with Ryan Kent on the left and Alfredo Morelos leading the line as the lone striker this evening.

Goldson’s return comes at the expense of Nikola Katic, who has dropped out of the starting line-up and dropped down to the bench despite encouraging displays of late.

Katic is joined by Wes Foderingham, Andy Halliday, Lassana Coulibaly, Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty and Jermain Defoe on the Rangers bench.
