Rangers take on Marseille at Ibrox this afternoon.

Rangers starting line-up: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Edmundson, Barisic; Jack, Davis, Aribo; Candeias, Jones, Morelos.

Rangers substitutes: Foderingham, Polster, Mayo, Katic, Docherty, Kamara, Ojo, Defoe, Murphy, Halliday.

Rangers are back in friendly action today, just days after beating St Joseph’s 4-0 in the Europa League, with Steven Gerrard ramping up the pre-season preparations.

Today, it’s Andre Villas-Boas and his Marseille side taking on Gerrard’s Rangers at Ibrox, in a game which should be a great test for this Gers side.

Allan McGregor starts in goal as usual, and will play behind a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, George Edmundson and Borna Barisic.

Ryan Jack, Steven Davis and Joe Aribo start in a three-man midfield, with Daniel Candeias returning on the right flank, and Jordan Jones starting out on the left.

Alfredo Morelos is given the nod up front today, meaning Jermain Defoe has to settle for a place on the bench, though there’s no place in the squad for winger Jake Hastie.

Wes Foderingham, Matt Polster, Lewis Mayo, Nikola Katic, Greg Docherty, Glen Kamara, Sheyi Ojo, Jamie Murphy and Andy Halliday make up the bench this afternoon.
