Rangers are back in action tonight as they take on Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup at Ibrox.

Rangers starting XI: McGregor; Tavernier, Worrall, Goldson, Barisic; Jack, Kamara, Arfield; Candeias, Kent, Morelos.

Rangers substitutes: Firth, Katic, Halliday, Coulibaly, Davis, Lafferty, Defoe.

The Gers drew 1-1 away at Hibernian on Friday night, but must put their league campaign to one side this evening as they face Aberdeen.

Their Scottish Cup clash has gone to a replay after a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie, and Rangers will hope to get the job done back at home this evening.

Steven Gerrard has named a suitably strong side, going with Allan McGregor in goal behind a back four of James Tavernier, Joe Worrall, Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic.

Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield make up the midfield three this evening, with Daniel Candeias and Ryan Kent out wide.

That leaves Alfredo Morelos up top as the lone striker, with Jermain Defoe and Kyle Lafferty once again having to settle for a spot on the bench.

They are joined by goalkeeper Andy Firth, defender Nikola Katic and utility man Andy Halliday as well as midfield duo Lassana Coulibaly and Steven Davis.
