Newcastle United will be hoping to make it five wins in a row as they take on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road this evening.

The Magpies beat Derby County 2-0 on Saturday evening to move up to second place in the Championship table, and have conceded just once in the last four games, with three clean sheets in a row.

Tonight, manager Rafael Benitez has surprisingly decided to ring the changes, with striker Aleksandar Mitrovic among four players to return to the starting line-up.

The striker leads the line but will be supported by Matt Ritchie and Yoan Gouffran from out wide, whilst Ayoze Perez also starts having been a substitute against Derby.

Summer signings Ciaran Clark and Isaac Hayden are both given starts tonight, whilst the likes of Jamaal Lascelles, Vurnon Anita and Jonjo Shelvey also start, with summer additions DeAndre Yedlin, Grant Hanley, Mohamed Diame, Christian Atsu and Dwight Gayle all on the bench.

Meanwhile, QPR drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, and lie just one place out side of the play-off spots, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men stringing together a strong start to the campaign.

Ex-Newcastle man James Perch starts in midfield, whilst in-form Tjaronn Chery will support lone striker Conor Washington in attack.

Summer arrivals Jake Bidwell, Jordan Cousins and Yeni Ngbakoto all start, with Joel Lynch, Ariel Borysiuk, Pawel Wszolek and Idrissa Sylla all on the bench.
