League One side Preston have the chance to really get at Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United this evening and put them under some pressure.

United struggled away from home against Cambridge in the last round and Preston boss Simon Grayson will be keen for his team to use their home advantage.

Preston definitely won’t be an easy side for United to get the better of because they have only lost six times at home in the league so far this season.

As far as LvG is concerned, he’ll be happy to trust the quality he has at his disposal.

Whether he chooses to play Wayne Rooney in a deeper midfield role or not, United should have enough quality in the man for man battles all over the pitch to get over the winning line and into the next round.

They should be determined to win at the first time of trying and prevent another fixture ahead of some very important matches in the Premier League, which will require all of van Gaal’s attention as the club aims for the Champions League next season.
