Aston Villa substitutes: Watkins, Cole, Hutton, Veretout, Robinson, Kinsella, Sanchez, Baker.
Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa both start league action next weekend, but the focus today in a pre-season friendly between the two clubs at the City Ground.
Villa have been busy in the transfer market this summer, and added French midfielder Jordan Veretout to their ranks on Friday – with the 22-year-old immediately named as a substitute for this afternoon’s game.
The starting line-up also contains six summer signings, with Mark Bunn, Jose Crespo, Micah Richards, Jordan Amavi, Idrissa Gueye and Jordan Ayew in the side.
Meanwhile, Forest haven’t been quite so busy but do name two new signings in the side, with Matt Mills and Jamie Ward starting the game having arrived from Bolton Wanderers and Derby County respectively.
There are also places on the bench for fellow new arrivals Ben Hamer and Daniel Pinillos, who will hope to make an impact in the upcoming season.
Pre-season is about to come to an end and both teams will be hoping to end on a high this afternoon, with league football just a week away.
