Here is how Norwich City and Manchester United will line-up for this afternoon’s match:
Norwich City starting XI: Ruddy, Martin, Olsson, R. Bennett, Bassong, Fer, Snodgrass, Johnson, Hoolahan, Redmond, Hooper
Subs: Bunn, Whittaker, Murphy, Garrido, Becchio, Elmander, van Wolfswinkel
Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Young, Cleverley, Giggs, Carrick, Kagawa, Hernandez
Subs: Lindegaard, Anderson, Fabio, Welbeck, Fletcher, Zaha, Januzaj
Manchester United’s revival is now well and truly under way. For a time on Boxing Day, their recent upturn in form appeared to be a temporary blip rather than a permanent transformation, but in turning a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 victory United made it clear they are not surrendering their title that easily.
Another win for David Moyes’ men at Carrow Road this afternoon and they could be right back in the frame by the early knockings of 2014. But Norwich have intentions of their own and will not be easily defeated.
Chris Hughton will be peering warily behind him, knowing the relegation zone resurgence of the likes of Crystal Palace and Fulham cannot be ignored. A win today and the Canaries can climb as high as 10th, but lose and they could be in the bottom three by New Year’s Day.
Both sides are without players due to suspension, with Norwich’s Michael Turner missing after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, and United’s Antonio Valencia banned following his dismissal against Hull City.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
