Norwich City host Leeds United in the Championship this afternoon.

Norwich City starting line-up: McGovern; Martin (c), Bennett, Klose, Olsson; Thompson; Brady, Dorrans, Hoolahan, Pritchard; Jerome.

Norwich City substitutes: Ruddy (GK), Bassong, Naismith, Oliveira, Lafferty, Ja. Murphy, Jo. Murphy.

Leeds United starting line-up: Green; Ayling, Jansson, Bartley, Taylor; Phillips, O’Kane; Doukara, Hernandez, Roofe; Wood.

Leeds United substitutes: Silvestri, Cooper, Grimes, Vieira, Berardi, Antonsson, Sakho.

Leeds United travel to Carrow Road this afternoon as they look to continue their fine run of recent form.

Hosts Norwich are struggling right now, as after losing 1-0 at home to Preston North End, the Canaries were then hammered 5-0 away at promotion-contending rivals Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.

Factor in that Alex Neil’s men also lost to Leeds in the EFL Cup ten days ago, and it’s clear that Neil needs a win today – especially with The Sun claiming that defeat this afternoon could bring an end to the Scot’s tenure in East Anglia.

Today, Neil has stuck with goalkeeper Michael McGovern despite his torrid performance against Brighton, whilst Louis Thompson will start in front of the back four, allowing Robbie Brady, Graham Dorrans, Wes Hoolahan and Alex Pritchard to support Cameron Jerome.

That means that Murphy twins Jacob and Josh are both on the bench, alongside strikers Nelson Oliveira and Kyle Lafferty, as well as Steven Naismith.

Meanwhile, Leeds United beat Burton Albion 2-0 at Elland Road last weekend, and now sit just one point off the play-offs after three wins in five league games.

Garry Monk’s men are going well right now, and they will hope to beat Norwich again this evening having prevailed in their dramatic EFL Cup tie.

Monk has made a shock change to his team today, as Souleymane Doukara has been brought into the side in place of Hadi Sacko after an impressive cameo performance against Burton Albion.

It’s a familiar back line with Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Kyle Bartley and Charlie Taylor in front of Robert Green, whilst Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O’Kane sit in front of the back four, with Doukara, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe supporting Chris Wood in attack.

Sacko is named on the bench today along with the likes of Liam Cooper, Ronaldo Vieira and Marcus Antonsson in a strong squad for Monk’s men.
