What a weekend it has already been for Liverpool, with Chelsea’s shock defeat at the hands of Sunderland giving the Reds a glimpse of Premier League glory.
Liverpool travel to Norwich City today knowing that they can go five points clear of their nearest challengers with just three games remaining; and while Manchester City cannot be discounted due to their games-in-hand, win today and Brendan Rodgers’ side is almost there.
Jordan Henderson is suspended for the visitors after being sent off in the match against City, but the fact that Luis Suarez is available should terrify a Norwich side against whom the Uruguayan excels.
Liverpool have won their last four games against the Canaries, scoring five in each of the last three, and their undefeated league streak against today’s hosts stretches back to 1994.
Norwich have lost their last three league games without scoring a goal, which goes a long way to showing why they have slipped back into the relegation mire. But as much as they would love to win today, it would be one of the shocks of the season if they manage to.
