Newcastle United host Ipswich Town in the Championship this afternoon.

Newcastle United will be hoping to make it five Championship wins in a row as they take on Ipswich Town this afternoon.

The Magpies beat Barnsley 2-0 on Tuesday night to extend their winning run, and assume top spot of the Championship table after other results went their way.

Today, manager Rafael Benitez continues his rotation policy as he makes three changes to his starting line-up, with DeAndre Yedlin the notable inclusion.

The right back comes in for Vurnon Anita in defence, whilst Jack Colback and Ayoze Perez also come in at the expense of Isaac Hayden and Mohamed Diame respectively.

Players like Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Ritchie and the in-form Dwight Gayle all start, whilst there are places on the bench for Aleksandar Mitrovic and Christian Atsu, alongside Anita, Hayden and Diame.

Meanwhile, opponents Ipswich Town ended their run of five games without a goal as they beat Burton Albion 2-0 at Portman Road in midweek.

It’s up to St. James’ Park for the Tractor Boys today, and manager Mick McCarthy has made three changes to his side as Jonathan Douglas, Grant Ward and Conor Grant come in for Cole Skuse, Teddy Bishop and Kevin Bru in a re-tooled midfield.

Ex-Newcastle striker Leon Best starts against his former club, whilst Jonny Williams and David McGoldrick are both on the bench.
