Team line ups have been announced for Newcastle United and Aston Villa ahead of this evening’s Championship clash.

This match was a staple of Premier League fixture lists for the best part of two decades but both sides now find themselves outside the top flight after terrible campaigns a year ago.

Of the two teams, only one is in position to bounce straight back up, this evening’s home side Newcastle.

Rafa Benitez’s men are in second place and can go back to the top of the table with a victory this evening.

Aston Villa are already on their second manager of the season, but are down in 17th place.

They can move level on points with rivals Birmingham City if they record a surprise win this evening.
