Newcastle United will look to keep up their stunning run of form when Queens Park Rangers arrive on Tyneside this afternoon.
It may have taken the Magpies two months of the season to bag their first win, but since defeating Leicester City 1-0 in October, Newcastle haven’t dropped a point.
Subsequent wins over Tottenham, Liverpool and West Brom have catapulted Alan Pardew’s men up the table, and they sit just two points off a top four place, and they have a fantastic opportunity to make it five league wins in a row as they face QPR.
The R’s remain in the bottom three, but have looked a little more confident of late, particularly in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City, where they deserved to win the game.
However, Harry Redknapp’s side have yet to even pick up a point away from home, and a tough trip to St. James’ Park against a buoyant Newcastle side is the last thing he needs at this stage of the season, with QPR desperately needing to pick up points.
