Newcastle United will be looking to return to winning ways this evening when they take on Burnley at home in the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez’s side will head into the match against Burnley at St. James’ Park on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Prior to that defeat, the Magpies had gone down 3-1 to Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium.

Newcastle are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with just 23 points from 24 matches, level on points with third-from-bottom Stoke City.

Meanwhile, Burnley currently find themselves eighth in the league table with 34 points from 24 matches.

Sean Dyche’s side are flying in the Premier League this season, and the Clarets will head into the match this evening with confidence.

This is how Newcastle will line up against Burnley this evening, with 20-year-old goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on the substitutes’ bench.

Woodman has been linked with moves away from the Magpies on January transfer deadline day, with Celtic and Aberdeen interested in him, according to The Daily Record.
