Here is how Newcastle United and Chelsea will line up for this afternoon’s Premier League match:
Newcastle starting XI: Elliot, Janmaat, Coloccini, S. Taylor, Dummett, Sissoko, Tiote, Colback, Ameobi, Cabella, Perez
Newcastle subs: Alnwick, Williamson, Haidara, Anita, Gouffran, Riviere, Cisse
Chelsea starting XI: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Mikel, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Costa
Chelsea subs: Cech, Filipe Luis, Zouma, Ramires, Schurrle, Remy, Drogba
Newcastle United take on Chelsea at St James’ Park in today’s early kick-off, with Alan Pardew’s side hoping to get back to winning ways and Jose Mourinho’s men looking to increase their lead at the top of the table.
Newcastle are currently ninth in the Premier League, four points outside the European places and a huge 16 points behind Chelsea, but the way the Magpies have been playing in recent weeks they could cause a shock this weekend if the Blues are not careful.
That said, Chelsea are yet to lose a match this season and they are threatening to pull away from the chasing pack this side of Christmas.
