MK Dons welcome Chelsea to Stadium: MK this weekend for their FA Cup fourth round encounter.
The Dons are currently 20th in the Championship, one point above the relegation zone after 28 matches, so while this match is a welcome distraction they clearly have bigger fish to fry in the weeks ahead.
That said they would welcome the huge boost a victory against Chelsea would bring, with the reigning Premier League champions well below their best this season despite signs of resurgence under interim manager Guus Hiddink.
Chelsea are currently 13th in the top flight and they will know this competition is their best chance of silverware in the short term.
This is the first time these two sides have met so it will be interesting to see exactly what history is made over the upcoming 90 minutes.
For all Chelsea’s struggles this season they are now unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions so if will take an almighty effort from Carlisle to secure the victory today.
