Arsenal starting XI: Turner; Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Lokonga, Xhaka; Marquinhos, Vieira, Martinelli; Nketiah.

Arsenal substitutes: Ramsdale, Hein, White, Saka, Odegaard, Jesus, Saliba, Zinchenko, Cirjan, Smith, Cozier-Duberry.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are back in action this evening as they take on Zurich in the Europa League.

The Gunners lost 3-1 at Manchester United on Sunday, bringing their unbeaten start to the season to an end.

Arteta will now be looking for a response against Zurich this evening, but has rotated much of his team.

Matt Turner comes in for Aaron Ramsdale in goal, making his competitive debut for Arsenal.

Gabriel keeps his place from the team that lost to United, partnering Rob Holding at centre back.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney – last season’s first-choice full backs – come in after frustrating starts to the season.

Albert Sambi Lokonga and Granit Xhaka both started at United on Sunday and are in the starting XI again today.

Gabriel Martinelli also keeps his place with fellow Brazilian Marquinhos featuring on the right flank.

Fabio Vieira features as Arsenal’s number 10 tonight, supporting lone striker Eddie Nketiah up top.

That means first-team stars Ramsdale, Ben White, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko all drop to the bench.

Karl Hein, Catalin Cirjan, Matt Smith and Amario Cozier-Duberry are also on the bench, but Lino Sousa isn’t eligible for the squad despite travelling to Switzerland.
