Middlesbrough host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this afternoon.

Middlesbrough will be looking for just their second win of the season as they take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Riverside Stadium this afternoon.

Aitor Karanka’s men lost 3-1 away at Everton last weekend, and will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat today.

Today, Karanka has gone with Arsenal loanee Calum Chambers at right back, whilst Adam Clayton partners summer signing Marten de Roon in midfield.

Cristhian Stuani and Stewart Downing will provide ammunition from out wide, with Gaston Ramirez behind lone striker Alvaro Negredo.

On the bench, Karanka is able to call upon the likes of Daniel Ayala and Jordan Rhodes, as well as summer signings Adama Traore and Viktor Fischer.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season having won three and drawn two of their first five games.

Last weekend’s 1-0 win over Sunderland was built on with a 5-0 EFL Cup win over Gillingham, presenting Mauricio Pochettino with some real selection dilemmas this afternoon.

Ben Davies starts at left back, with Danny Rose still out of the side, whilst Dele Alli partners Victor Wanyama in the heart of midfield as both Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele are out injured.

Vincent Janssen leads the line with Harry Kane injured, and he’ll be supported by the trio of Moussa Sissoko, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min.

The likes of Erik Lamela, Kieran Trippier and Cameron Carter-Vickers, as well as summer signing Georges-Kevin Nkoudou as Pochettino has had to deal with a few injuries this week.
