Leeds United will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Norwich City at Elland Road with victory over Middlesbrough away from home at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship this afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will head into the match against Middlesbrough on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Norwich City at home in the league.

The Whites are second in the Championship table at the moment with 57 points from 30 matches, level on points with leaders Norwich and second only on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough currently find themselves fifth in the Championship table with 50 points from 29 matches.

Tony Pulis’s side are very much in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season, and a win against Leeds will enhance their chances of doing just that.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has predicted that Leeds and West Bromwich Albion will finish in the top two of the Championship table this season.

The former Leeds and Middlesbrough striker has also said that he would love Boro to get promoted to the top flight of English football as well.

Hasselbaink said on Sky Sports Main Event on Friday morning (10:56am, February 8, 2019) when asked for his top two: “I have always said Leeds. I would love Middlesbrough to do it, but I said from the beginning Leeds and West Brom, but I would love Middlesbrough to do it together with Leeds.”
