Manchester United take on Barcelona in the United States this morning.

Manchester United starting line-up: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Blind; Carrick, Pogba; Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Lingard; Lukaku.

Manchester United substitutes: J. Pereira, Romero, Bailly, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Jones, Mitchell, Tuanzebe, Fellaini, McTominay, A. Pereira, Martial.

Manchester United’s pre-season preparations continue this morning as they take on Barcelona at FedExField in Maryland, USA.

The Red Devils drew 1-1 with Real Madrid in their last outing but won on penalties, following on from wins over LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake and Manchester City.

United will be looking to keep that run of decent form going as they face Barcelona this morning, with manager Jose Mourinho naming a strong side for the game.

David de Gea unsurprisingly starts in goal, whilst new signing Victor Lindelof features in a back four alongside Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind.

Michael Carrick and Paul Pogba start in midfield, with Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard called upon to provide support for lone striker Romelu Lukaku.

That means that Anthony Martial is only handed a place on the bench despite his impressive showing against Real Madrid, with other notable first-team players such as Sergio Romero, Eric Bailly, Matteo Darmian, Phil Jones and Marouane Fellaini are also named on the bench.

Youngsters Joel Pereira, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Demetri Mitchell, Axel Tuanzebe, Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira are also named as substitutes for United as they lock horns with Ernesto Valverde’s Barcelona.
