Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to maintain their good run of form this afternoon when they take on Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
Spurs will head into the match against City on the back of a 4-3 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
The tie finished 4-4 on aggregate, with Tottenham going through to the semi-finals of Europe’s premier club competition on away goals’ rule.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 67 points from 33 matches.
As for City, Pep Guardiola’s side are currently second in the standings with 83 points from 33 matches, two points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played 34 matches.

Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has suggested that City manager Guardiola made the mistake of not starting defensive midfielder Fernandinho against Tottenham on Wednesday evening.
Lawrenson wrote on BBC Sport: “With Harry Kane out injured, City must have known Spurs would want to play on the break with pace so I did not understand why Fernandinho did not start, because his game is all about protecting their back two or back four.
“City have got enough players who can go and win them the game without being so gung-ho about it, and I thought they missed the Brazilian midfielder in that crazy opening spell when Son Heung-min scored twice.”
