Aston Villa will be looking to make it three wins in a row in all competitions this evening when they take on Manchester City away from home in the Premier League.
Tim Sherwood’s side will head into the encounter at the Etihad Stadium on the back of a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at London’s Wembley Stadium.
That victory followed a superb 2-1 triumph for the Villans against Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane in North London.
Villa currently find themselves 15th in the Premier League table with 32 points from 33 matches, just four points above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, City head into this evening’s fixture placed fourth in the league standings with 64 points from 33 matches, six points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
The defending English champions returned to winning ways last weekend when they got the better of London outfit West Ham United 2-0 at the Etihad.
